Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts and Payroll Officer on a part time basis who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial and payroll operations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Accounts Payable -supplier invoice processing and payment runs
  • Accounts Receivable – raising debtor invoices in line with customer billing requirements. Processing customer payments and receipts
  • Bank Reconciliations ·
  • Lodgement of monthly PAYG, and quarterly BAS
  • Minimum 3-5 years of accounts and bookkeeping experience required
  • Certificate III or IV in accounting, finance or related field required

Payroll

  • Fortnightly payroll processing in line with relevant Awards
  • Maintain employee records, including pay, tax and superannuation details
  • Process superannuation, STP lodgements, PAYG, Workcover and payroll-related obligations
  • Minimum 1-2 years of payroll processing experience required

About you

  • Experience with Xero highly desirable
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience in a similar finance and payroll role · Strong understanding of payroll legislation, Awards and compliance requirements
  • Highly organized, solid reconciliation skills and attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
